The Heart of Invicta: Celebrating Longevity and Loyalty

In the fast-paced world of professional services, where mergers, acquisitions, and corporate consolidations have become the norm, maintaining a stable and dedicated team can be a formidable challenge. Yet, at Invicta, we have managed to defy these odds, placing people and relationships at the core of our business philosophy. This commitment to nurturing long-term relationships with our employees and clients has not only defined our success but also created a unique and thriving workplace culture.

Elaine Creed: A Testament to Commitment

A shining example of our commitment to fostering lasting relationships is Elaine Creed, who recently celebrated her 20th anniversary with Invicta. Elaine’s journey with us began in 1994, thanks to a close relationship with a director who has since retired.. When invited to join our team, she accepted without hesitation, and we are profoundly grateful she did. Elaine’s two-decade-long tenure with Invicta is a testament to our supportive and inclusive work environment, one that values each individual’s contribution.

Reflecting on Elaine’s milestone, it is evident that our commitment to retaining talent is not an isolated incident, but a common thread woven throughout our company’s fabric. Our senior client-facing team members have all been with Invicta for considerable lengths of time, underscoring a culture of loyalty and mutual respect. As noted in a recent LinkedIn post, Nita Monti will mark her 25th year with us later this year, with other team members not far behind:

Kelly Roger (Relationship Director) – 19.5 years

Jim Elliott (CEO) – 16 years

Jess Taylor (Senior Administrator) – 16 years

Tony Link (Relationship Director) – 14.5 years

Brent Marquand (Relationship Director) – 12.5 years

Karl Loeser (Director) – 10 years

Chirs Le Garff (Manager) – 7 years.

A Rarity in the Sector

In an industry often characterised by high turnover and rapid change, Invicta’s ability to maintain a stable and happy team is exceptionally rare. The trend of market consolidations and mergers has made it increasingly difficult for many firms to retain their independence and, consequently, their staff. However, Invicta’s independence has allowed us to create an environment where our team can thrive without the pressures and constraints often imposed by larger corporate entities whilst ensuring exceptional service for our clients.

Having an established team is not just about longevity; it’s about the quality of service we can offer. A content and committed team translates into exceptional client service. Our employees’ deep understanding of our clients' needs and their consistent delivery of personalised service set us apart in the marketplace.

Diversity and Succession Planning

Our team’s diversity, encompassing a range of ages and skills, is another pillar of our strength. We are committed to succession planning, ensuring that we continually cultivate new talent while recognising and promoting from within. This approach was evident last year with the promotions of Kelly Roger and Karl Loeser, the latter joining the Invicta Board. These promotions highlight our dedication to providing clear career paths and growth opportunities for our employees.

A Strong Culture of Independence

At Invicta, we have built a robust culture and sense of purpose. Our independence from banks, law firms, and private equity investors allows us to maintain our core values and focus on what truly matters: our people and our clients. This autonomy fosters a work environment where our employees feel valued and motivated to stay and grow with us.

Elaine’s enduring relationship with her clients, some of whom she has worked with since her early days at Invicta, exemplifies the strong bonds we aim to create and sustain. Our team members follow clients through their personal and professional journeys, much like our Invicta family, which continues to evolve and flourish.

Invicta’s success lies in our unwavering commitment to people and relationships. By fostering a supportive and inclusive culture, promoting from within, and maintaining our independence, we have created an environment where employees and clients alike can thrive. As we celebrate milestones like Elaine’s 20th anniversary, we are reminded of the importance of loyalty, dedication, and the human connections at the heart of our business.
